A starburst of flat kite-cut glass blades around a white-hot nucleus, each blade a translucent ultramarine crystal lit from inside by marbled veins that crawl along its length; it rests as a corona of a few great petals among small motes, spreads into a wide ring of dark slabs with glowing veins, and closes into a dense needle nova as the spectrum brightens.
