# Oilslick Orchid Arachnid

An oil-slick orchid arachnid on a ribbed spine and three antlers that never change, wearing five frond pairs that each change species on their own schedule. Each is one plated blade under seven interpolated numbers, so it morphs by deforming, not cross-fading, through four forms: scale plate, chevron frond, barbed sickle, oil needle. Every rib edge still splits into a real dispersion fringe. Bass plates it, treble hones it to needles. Rests as the chevron frond.
