# Chladni Brass Plate

A thick square Chladni slab of dark brass on a slow turntable, a solid the camera can orbit, carrying piles of sand along the nodal lines of its vibration. Drive frequency follows the spectrum, bowing the plate through four figures: a bass ring-in-diamond, a mid rosette, a treble star lattice, a fine mesh, each a superposition of the plate's cosine modes. Bass flexes the brass and squeezes the sand thinner, treble lifts dust above the antinodes, a kick throws the grains. Rests as the rosette.
